Las Vegas, NV---September 29, 2003--Marvin Barrios, one of the world's youngest authors, was the keynote speaker at the "Comité Salvadoreño LA" (Salvadoran Committee of Los Angeles), this past Friday, September 26. During his speech, he pledged to donate 10% of the profit of the sale of his first book, Empala and the Floating Cities, and to start a division of COSALA in Las Vegas, Nevada, to help his parents' home country, El Salvador. The sponsor, Xtreme Cars and Stars, based in Las Vegas, NV, is assisting Barrios in starting the new Las Vegas COSALA division.

During the organization's event, Barrios learned about the projects of the Salvadoran organization. This will be Barrios' first charity event involving his book being released on November 1, 2003. El Salvador is the home country of Barrios' parents, and he is very proud to support such organization. Multichannel Solutions LLC was a major sponsor at the COSALA charity event, and is the first Las Vegas company to support and collaborate with COSALA. Empala Press, Barrios' publisher is a division of Multichannel Solutions LLC.

COSALA is currently committed to establishing the infrastructure for potable water in four communities in Usulután, El Salvador (Nueva Granada, El Carrizal, Gualcho, and El Joco), which would benefit over 7,382 people.
